Boundary County photographers
the Fair Board is looking for your help
May 13, 2015

The Boundary County Fair Board is sponsoring a contest to select a great photograph for the cover of this year's Fair Book. The winner of the contest not only has their photograph displayed as the cover photo for the Fair Book, but also collects a prize of $100.

You know the book we're talking about, the book the Fair puts out every year with information on the Fair, the various activities, schedule, and entry classifications.

The winning photograph will also highlight a 2016 calendar which will be for sale at this summer's Fair.

The Fair Board is hoping to feature photos submitted for the contest in the 2016 calendar, and also display the photographs at the Fair.

The theme for the 2015 Boundary County Fair is "HOMEWhere the Heart Is." This theme is tied into Boundary County's 100 year birthday celebration this year. The winning photograph will showcase Boundary County, and will be selected by the Fair Board.

Of course, there are a few guidelines for entries:
8 x 10 high resolution color photograph
Subject matter of the photo--local to Boundary County scenery only
Contest open to Boundary County residents only
Up to six entries per person may be submitted

And here is the one last little guideline that is going to put the pressure on: the deadline for entries is this Friday, May 15. We are trying to help get the word out as we just received notification of this contest.

Entries can be dropped of at the Extension Office (behind the Courthouse) on or before the May 15 deadline. Entries must be accompanied by the entry form, which can be obtained and printed from this location on the internet: http://www.boundarycountyid.org/fair/index.htm

We know there are lots of great photographers out there in Boundary County. Your Fair Board needs you and your great Boundary County photo this week!
