Newsbf Christmas Lights winners!

December 17, 2012
The first News Bonners Ferry Boundary County Christmas Lights contest is now over, and despite only three entrants, all three are winners!

Renee Clarkson, who lives at 216 Flintlock Lane, is the first place finisher, earning her a $100 gift certificate from Huckleberry Variety Christmas Store and one wild huckleberry pie from Artisan Bakers.

Charena Branscum, 6903 West View Drive, is the second place photographer, and Tim English, 6716 Augusta Street, finished third; each win a $50 gift certificate from Huckleberry Variety Christmas Store and one wild huckleberry pie from Artisan Bakers.

The Huckleberry Variety Christmas Store, 7219 Main Street, Bonners Ferry, is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Sunday through Christmas, and they have everything you can imagine to brighten your home for the holidays!

Artisan Bakers, recently opened in the kiosk in the parking lot at Three Mile Corner, is quickly gaining a superb reputation for making the best fruit pies on the planet! Piled high with fruit, they don't add juice, water or other fillers, nor a lot of sugar. The crusts are made with butter, no lard, shortening or margarine. Their wild huckleberry is their signature pie, but others, such as their Northwest Blueberry, Flathead Cherry, or The World's Most Amazing Apple, made with local apples, are also available.

Each winner will be sent confirmation of their prize by email on Tueday.

Our thanks to each entrant; we'll be doing this again next year unless the Mayans were right!
