Valley View PTO looking to raise big bucks

February 8, 2013
Valley View Elementary is in dire need of new bleachers in the school gym, and the Valley View Parent/Teacher Organization hopes to raise $40,000 in February, with a lot of help from Mountain West Bank and several local businesses.

The PTO has already held a "Mathaton" this month to get the drive going, the Valley View School Carnival will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 21, and several raffles are being held, with the drawings set for Thursday, February 28.

Mountain West Bank, Bonners Ferry, has agreed to match every dollar they raise.

The raffle packages are impressive; an Auto Care package donated by JB's Tire and Automotive, CarQuest and Bonners Ferry Quick Lube; a Gardening package donated by Moose Valley Farms; a Craft Crate donated by Universal Drilling and Bamboo Room Day Spa; a Get Outside package contributed by Far North Outfitters; and a Mini Retreat, courtesy of Lighthouse and the Kootenai River Inn.

In addition to participating in these events, people can also make contributions to the Valley View PTO through their account at Mountain West Bank.
