Day dawns clear on Schweitzer, snow on the way
February 23, 2018
By the Schweitzer Snow Crew

This is the calm before the storm, folks! It is a perfectly clear, cold morning, the stars are out and the groomers are working their magic!

The forecast is looking amazing for this weekend. There is so much planned on the mountain, and with the promise of great snow, there is no other place you will want to be!

Please note that the Snow Ghost chair lift will not be operating today. Sunnyside will be up and running.

Today, there is a wine tasting in Gourmandie from 3 to 5 p.m. and the final Starlight Racing Party, from 7 to 11 p.m., which is James Bond/007 themed and costumes are encouraged.

Saturday is the "Let it Glow" parade and fireworks show from 6 to 8 p.m., with live music in Taps with Dimestore Prophets before and after the fireworks, and a wine tasting again in Gourmandie from 3 to 5 p.m.

It's also Kid's Night Out from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday, with jumpy balls, slack line, Nintendo Wii Dance and cookie decorating while you're out enjoying the snow. Kids will have pizza, juice and snacks.

Sunday we close it out with the She Jumps " Get the Girls Out" event from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and free SNEVA Ski demos.
