| Woman killed by police near Sandpoint hospital |

There are reports late Tuesday night that
Sandpoint police were called to the area of
Bonner General Hospital in Sandpoint, where a
woman was seen to be armed with a knife. After police arrived, a confrontation with the woman ensued, which ended in the woman being shot and killed by Sandpoint police officers. Investigation into this situation is ongoing by Sandpoint and Coeur d'Alene area law enforcement. The identity of the woman has not been released. |
