Winner announced for DARE Program shotgun raffle
December 25, 2014

The Bonners Ferry Police Department is happy to announce that Larry Carlson holds the winning raffle ticket and is the proud winner of the brand new Winchester 12 gauge waterfowl shotgun.

Corporal Buddy Winters, who is the department DARE and School Resource Officer, held the bowl containing all of the purchased raffle tickets while Kyle Watts, co-owner of Woody’s Gun and Pawn, drew the winning ticket while members of the public looked on.

This raffle was held to help raise funds for the police department's DARE program, which helps teach Boundary County children to resist drugs, alcohol, and bullying other children.

After the necessary forms are completed, Mr. Carlson will take home that beautiful firearm just in time for Christmas. The Bonners Ferry Police Department would like to thank the citizens of Boundary County for the support of the DARE program and area youth.
