Wet weather still in the forecast for our area |
April 6, 2018 |
Our one “kind of good” day of weather was
Friday. Now that everyone has enjoyed that,
let’s brace ourselves for more rain and cooler
temperatures.
The National Weather Service is forecasting a
wet storm system over the weekend, beginning
Saturday, leading to saturated ground conditions
with flooding concerns on small streams. The
risk of mudslides and debris flows on steep
terrain will also increase.
They are also reporting that isolated to
scattered thunderstorms are possible Saturday
afternoon, with potential in some areas for
locally heavy downpours, small hail, and gusty
winds.
This forecast is for portions of North Idaho,
also north central Washington and northeast
Washington.
Generally warmer temperatures are predicted as
being on the way. The Weather Service is
predicting a high temperature of 51 degrees on
Sunday, 52 degrees on Monday, and as high as 58
degrees on Tuesday. Other coming temperatures:
Wednesday 53, Thursday 49, and Friday 50 degrees
are predicted.
Chance of rain is 20% Sunday, Monday, and
Tuesday, but rises to 50% on Wednesday and 60%
on Thursday. |
