Badger Girls split games last week;
Girls' JV team mowing down opponents
January 19, 2015
Things went great last Thursday and Friday for the BFHS Varsity Girls' basketball team--great for a game and a half that is.

The girls first played Coeur d'Alene Charter, winning that game 46-33.

The following day the girls played the Wildcats of Kellogg on the road, and blistered the nets for 25 points the first half. That's where the great game and a half came to an end, as they were only able to put up 7 points in the entire second half, losing to the Wildcats by only 4 points, 36-32.

"We went cold from the field," said Girls' Varsity Coach Chris Chatburn.

Badger Savannah Woods scored 14 points in the Coeur d'Alene charter game, and had 13 points and 10 rebounds in the loss at Kellogg. Other scoring in the Kellogg game: Miranda Wenk 7 points, Kerstin Oxford 5, Abby Skeen 3, with Regan Byers and Jasmine Hill each scoring 2 points.

The Badger Girls' JV team continues to play exceptionally well, defeating Kellogg 66-38. Every girl on the team scored in the game. The JV Girls now have 12 wins on the season to only a single loss.

Both the Girls' Varsity and Junior Varsity play this Saturday, January 24, at St. Maries against the Lumberjacks of St. Maries High School.
