George Eskridge
(R): George Eskridge is the Idaho State
Representative for District 1-B, which includes Boundary
and Bonner Counties in Northern Idaho.
George was born in Bonners Ferry and raised in Dover,
graduated from Sandpoint Senior High School, is a U.S.
Navy Viet Nam Veteran and a graduate of the University
of Montana in Business Administration.
George was first elected in 2000 and is serving his
sixth term in the Idaho House of Representatives.
Representative Eskridge serves on the Joint Finance and
Appropriations Committee, the House Resources and
Conservation Committee, the House Environment, Energy
and Technology Committee, and Co-Chair of the Joint
Environment, Energy and Technology Interim Committee.
George also was elected by his fellow House Members to
serve on the Legislative Council that oversees the
management responsibilities and permanent staff of the
Legislature.
Representative Eskridge also serves as one of Idaho’s
representatives to the Pacific Northwest Economic
Region, an organization of the five Northwestern states
and the Canadian Northwest Provinces and Territories
organized to address and solve commercial and security
issues between the U.S. and Canada.
Representative Eskridge’s priorities are property tax
reform, natural resource development, a safe and
efficient state highway system and protection of our
low-cost energy resource.
