To the Editor:
As a Vietnam era veteran, I recognize first hand
that patriotism and a determined commitment to
our Constitutional freedoms (First and Second
Amendment rights) are characteristics of the
sacrifices veterans who served endured so that
these freedoms are protected by all Americans.
Those far left liberal corporations I have
listed below, and their officers, share this
protection, even with mob outrage and stupidity
regarding these freedoms. Every veteran will
defend these individual freedoms which made
America the greatest nation in the world.
Why punish the law-abiding Americans who
faithfully are exercising their Second Amendment
rights even after enduring CNN, ESPN, MSNBC, and
other “fake news” mentality. Reflect on
Chicago’s record.
I personally feel, the National Rifle
Association had absolutely nothing to do with
the tragic shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas
High School in Parkland, Florida, or the failure
of that school’s security preparedness, the
failure of America’s mental health system, the
failure of the National Instant Check System, or
the cruel failures of both federal and local law
enforcement.
The responsibility lies with federal and local
law enforcement which should take the majority
of blame for not preventing the shooting, given
they were provided with ample warnings about the
eventual shooter, including multiple
interactions between the shooter and law
enforcement, internet reports, and anonymous
inputs relaying concerns the shooter might act
on threats.
On Friday February 23 it was reported that three
other Broward County sheriff deputies had
arrived on the scene and didn’t act, which I
consider a reflection of Broward County Sheriff
Scott Israel’s disgraceful leadership.
A multitude of companies including
-Delta and United airlines,
-Enterprise rent-a car, Alamo, Avis, Hertz and
National
-Symantec
-SimpliSafe home monitoring
-First National Bank of Omaha
-Metlife
have shown a shameful display of far left
liberal political and civic cowardice regarding
Florida’s February 14 school shooting. These
spineless corporations, to my knowledge, have
not even provided the NRA with reasons for their
decisions, but have simply succumbed to
mainstream propaganda, exhibiting a mob outrage
mentality.
Please remember this regarding DemocRat
(Schumer/Pelosi) politics. Poly means “many,"
and ticks are “blood sucking creatures." Their
party's logo (a donkey) explains it all.
I proudly stand with millions of other
individuals who WILL protect OUR Second
Amendment rights and our Constitution.
