Air stagnation advisory issued for week ahead
December 8, 2017
The National Weather Service has issued a week-long air stagnation advisory as an air mass settles over the region.

Pollutants are expected to increase through noon Thursday, December 14, as there will be little wind movement to clear the air. In some areas, air quality could deteriorate to unsafe levels, particularly for the very young, the very old and those suffering respiratory illnesses.

Persons with respiratory issues should follow the advice of their physician on how to deal with poor air quality.

Outdoor burning may also be limited as air quality is reduced.
