Maya shines in Miss Teen of America Pageant
December 9, 2017
Bonners Ferry's Maya Roberts arrived in Orlando, Florida, in November, with a smile on her face and ready to take on the world during the Miss Teen of America Pageant. She did her hometown proud!
Bonners Ferry's own Miss Teen of Idaho, Maya Roberts, traveled to Orlando, Florida, in November to compete in the 2018 Miss Teen of America Pageant, and against a strong field of amazing young women, she brought home the title of third runner up!

"Thank you to everyone who has sponsored, donated, and supported Maya on her journey to nationals," Maya's mother, Skylar Roberts, wrote. "It takes a village! I am very proud of Maya, I am sure each of you are as well! She did a fantastic job representing Idaho and will continue her work as Miss Teen of Idaho into 2018. I know good things are in her future!"

Maya was crowned Miss Teen of Idaho in July.

In Orlando November 18, Alana Castle, Miss Teen of Pennsylvania, Canton, Pennsylvania, was crowned Miss Teen of America, Miss Teen of Tennessee Shelby Bellah, Murray, Kentucky, was first runner up, Miss Teen of Minnesota Anna Becker, Buffalo, Minnesota, was second runner up and our own Miss Teen of Idaho Maya Roberts was third runner up.

Maya, 17, and a senior at Bonners Ferry High School, plans on university next fall to pursue doctorate in psychology with minors in business and childhood development.

She lives with my mother and younger brother, Kadyn Dimmitt-Henslee, almost five, in Bonners Ferry, and with her dad, Jeff Roberts, and stepmom Sarah in Spokane.

"I would like to thank Bonners Ferry for supporting me," a radiant Maya said.
