 Janet
Lind Posey, 55, of Bonners Ferry, died Tuesday,
April 12, 2011, at Bonner General Hospital.
Memorial services will be conducted at 1 p.m.,
Saturday, April 23, at Mountain Springs Church
in Bonners Ferry.
She was born July 25, 1955, in Vancouver,
Washington, the daughter of Jerry and Lois Carr.
She was raised in Portland and later in
Colorado, where she graduated high school in
1973. After high school she enlisted in the US
Army and served her country during the Viet Nam
war. While stationed in South Carolina, she
married Arnold L. Posey. After her discharge
they moved to Ohio where they lived for a number
of years. In 1990 they moved to Portland, where
she worked at Chase Bagging Company. In 1997
they moved to Sandpoint where she was employed
at Wal-Mart, retiring when she suffered a
stroke.
The family recently moved to Bonners Ferry.
Janet enjoyed crocheting, drawing, surfing the
internet, gardening, was an avid reader, and was
an author of two books and multiple short
stories.
In addition to her husband of Bonners Ferry, she
is survived by five children: Judy Hill,
Sandpoint, Stephanie Baker, Bonners Ferry, Toby
Posey, Sandpoint, Jessica Jensen of South
Carolina, Kayla Posey at home in Bonners Ferry;
brothers: Corry, Kelly, Linden; sisters: Julie,
Diane, Bonnie, Ina; and by 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 1
brother. |
