Do we need a 'Taj Majal?'

Wow! The proposed Fab
Lab/library/college/extension office will be the
Taj Majal (Thanks Ken Ewing!) of Boundary
County!
I also like the idea that it will be the tallest
building (?) in Bonners Ferry and will simply swallow
up and dwarf all the private businesses trying
to eke out a living (and pay taxes) on Main
Street.
So much for the rooftop signage placed by
businesses that tries to encourage
drivers/passerby to stop in and visit the
various shops and restaurants.
Will these people flock to the new Fab
Lab/library and use all of the proposed
resources? The poverty level and unemployment is
relevant to the issue.
It was stated that the current building is in a
sorry state. I’m sure it is. It has seen better
days.
May I suggest you look no further than across
the street at the old Garden Center building for
possible use/purchase?
I would also venture to guess that many people
choose to live and raise their children here
because of the lifestyle. Not because of a “Taj
