Idaho inaugural events celebrated
January 15, 2015
On Friday, January 9, Governor Butch Otter was sworn in on the steps of the Idaho Capitol Building, in a public ceremony that also included the swearing in of the lieutenant governor, secretary of state, state controller, attorney general and superintendent of public instruction.

Along with the public, also in attendance were former Governors Jim Risch, Dirk Kempthorne, and Phil Batt, as Idaho's newly-elected constitutional officers, all of the state Senators and Representatives, and President Pro-Tempore Brent Hill and Speaker of the House Scott Bedke.

The following day, the gala Inaugural Procession and Ball was held at the Capitol building, celebrating the inauguration of all state elected leaders. The event was held in the rotunda of the Capitol.

This was the 47th inauguration event for Idaho, and Otter's third time to be elected and sworn in as Idaho governor.
