Museum kicks off summer season
with full day of great activities
May 8, 2015
Saturday, May 9 is the day for a full day of great Boundary County activities at the Museum.

The Boundary County Museum kicks off their summer season with a slate of fun, entertainment, and education that will last through the day.

Things begin at 10:00 a.m. with demonstrations on textile artistry and on metal lathe.

Next up, at 11:00 a.m., learn how to tie flies just the way those Boundary County trout like them. In addition, those who love stories and those who love history can view a special presentation of stories related to Boundary County's 100th birthday being celebrated this year.

After that--lunch for everyone. Hot dogs, chips, soda, water will be available in the Museum's Railroad Courtyard.

An art display and seminar follows at 1:00 p.m., along with a blacksmithing demonstration.

Following those presentations, the recently released movie The Fish Between the Falls, documenting sturgeon recovery efforts on the Kootenai River, will be shown. Much of this movie was filmed right here in Boundary County.

The special day of activities finishes up at 3:00 p.m. with a presentation on Kootenai Culture.
