Boundary County scenery featured in calendar
offered by the Fair Board
July 29, 2015
To see photographs of some of Boundary County's most beautiful scenery, consider picking up your copy of the Fair Board's 2016 calendar, now for sale at the Fair Office; soon to be for sale at the upcoming Boundary County Fair.

Earlier this year, the Fair Board sponsored a contest, seeking photos of Boundary County that best depicted this year's Fair theme, "Home—Where the Heart Is." The contest was open only to Boundary County residents, and all photographs had to be local Boundary County scenery. The winning photograph, thought to best showcase Boundary County and best illustrate the Fair theme, would be featured on the cover of this year's Fair Book, and would also be used as the cover photograph for this calendar. That contest ended May 15.

Although the decision was a very difficult one, John Buckley's forested river valley photograph was selected as the contest winner. In addition to illustrating the cover of the calendar and Fair Book, Mr. Buckley's picture also won him a cash prize of $100.

Dozens of other photographs submitted in the contest are included on the various monthly pages of the Fair Board's calendar. All submitted contest photographs will be on display during the Fair at the Exhibit Hall Annex. The calendar can be purchased at the Fair Office or at the upcoming Fair for $14.99. Proceeds from sale of the calendar will help pay for fairground improvements.

"Thank you to everyone who submitted Boundary County photos," said the Fair Board.
