Post Falls man arrested in relation to body recovered near Roman Nose Lakes
October 14, 2015
Post Falls Police announced on Monday they had arrested 20 year old Skyler Abbott Ingraham of Post Falls on a warrant related to the death of 52 year old Brent Barron, whose body was recovered in late September in the Roman Nose Lakes area by the Boundary County Sheriff's Office. Post Falls Police arrested the man on a warrant issued by the Boundary County Sheriff's Office.

The victim, Mr. Barron, is the uncle of Skyler Ingraham.

Mr. Ingraham's arrest was for violation of Idaho Code on failing to report the death of Mr. Barron. He is currently being held on a $100,000 bond. Additional charges for Mr. Ingraham may be forthcoming as more information in the case is developed.

It appears the victim died as the result of a shooting, and a prior Boundary County Sheriff's Office press release stated that, although they were still investigating the manner and cause of death, it was being investigated as a homicide. Post Falls Police are reporting initial information in the investigation revealed there was an argument between the two men, which reportedly included threats from Mr. Barron, prior to his shooting death.

So far there has been no indication when the shooting death occurred, although the Boundary County Sheriff's Office stated in an earlier press release that the victim had been deceased for a "considerable amount of time."

Investigation is ongoing, and it is anticipated further information will be provided as it becomes available. The BCSO has received assistance in investigating this case from Post Falls Police, Idaho State Police, and the U.S. Forest Service in the case.
