Program this evening to help high school students continue their education (prizes available)
November 10, 2015
In an effort to encourage high school students in Idaho to continue their education, beyond high school, the University of Idaho and the Extension Offices are sponsoring a special program to provide information and help students to overcome barriers that might prevent them from enrolling in higher education.

This program is called "Enroll Idaho."  The event is taking place around the state, including in Bonners Ferry tonight.  These free, one-night information sessions are open to high school seniors, parents/guardians and high school teachers and staff. Attendees can ask questions and learn about the available pathways to college and the University of Idaho as well as:

-The long-term benefits of going to college
-Ways to pay for college
-How to apply for admission and financial aid
-Plus -- attendees will be entered for a chance to win $500 for books and supplies.

“Enroll Idaho” is a new initiative providing a direct path to Idaho universities and colleges for all Idaho’s high school graduates.

Today on Tuesday, November 10, at 7:00 p.m., Rob Spears, the University of Idaho Athletic Director, will host an informational session at the University of Idaho Boundary County Extension office in Bonners Ferry, located at 6447 Kootenai Street. The event is open to high school seniors, their parents or guardians, and high school teachers and staff.

This Enroll Idaho event will be taking place simultaneously at 43 locations across the state. University representatives will provide materials, answer questions and explain the state’s new program. Light refreshments will be provided. To learn more about the event, visit: http://www.uidaho.edu/events/enroll-idaho.
