The Fry Healthcare Foundation is bringing "Joy to the World" with this year's 20th Annual Festival of Trees Event, held at the Boundary County Fairgrounds in Bonners Ferry on Friday, December 11 and Saturday, December 12, 2015.

For the past twenty years, the Fry Healthcare Foundation Board of Directors and friends of the organization have produced the Festival of Trees. Volunteers are now planning, organizing and preparing to share their joy with the community for this year's exciting event.

Friday night kicks off the festivities with Family Night from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Come and view the trees, munch on decorated cookies, watch and listen as singers and entertainers perform. Children can visit with Santa and everyone can share in the special joys of the holidays. A donation of canned goods for local Boundary County charities is appreciated as admission to the event.

Saturday night is the “Gala.” This highlight of the Holiday Social Scene is the night where funds are raised benefiting Boundary Community Hospital. There will be a silent and a live auction, games, music, and friends. Dinner tickets may be purchased for $35 before December 8. Among the donated auction items are decorated trees and wreaths, airline tickets, golf and skiing packages, sports tickets and memorabilia, original art and photography, and much, much more.

Named for Dr. E.E. Fry who opened his office in Bonners Ferry back in 1903, and opened the first hospital in Boundary County, the non-profit Fry Healthcare Foundation has raised over one million dollars across its 20-year history for the purchase of equipment for Boundary Community Hospital and the benefit of the community. Through the generous contributions of friends and patrons, the Foundation’s goal of purchasing a 15-passenger, wheelchair accessible van was realized last year. This year’s goal is to fund the purchase of a Mobile Ultrasound Machine for the Hospital’s Emergency Room.

Come Spread the Joy in our World at the 2015 Festival of Trees
