Don’t miss the second showing of What We Do
in the Shadows! It is Saturday, May 28 at
6:00 p.m. in Becker Auditorium at Bonners Ferry
High School. Tickets are sold at the door at $2
for students and $3 for adults.
This is a comical movie about the life of a
vampire family. This remaking of the movie is
assured to be completely family-friendly and I
recommend seeing this hysterical film. It
gathered some great feedback from the audiences
who have seen it before.
This production is put on by the newly formed
Bonners Ferry High School Film Club! What We
Do in the Shadows was their first major
project, and they are looking for community
support in their second showing at the high
school. Remarkably, they had to film the movie
without any funding due to their newly formed
status.
In the future, the Bonners Ferry Film Club would
like to expand its horizons to a plethora of
video media and reach the whole town with their
productions. Next year the Film Club will be
advocating to gather an adequate amount of
funding to purchase good-quality cameras and
filming equipment.
Since the club is relatively new and was created
by a group of passionate seniors wanting to make
their contribution to the high school, the club
might be struggling to gain its footing again
next year without them. The club just recently
elected new officers for next year, who again
will all be seniors when school starts again.
Nevertheless, the team is determined to fight
for the success of the club. The club was passed
on from President and Founder Kayliana Simmons
to 2016/2017 President Amy Holman. The crew is
excited to start working with each other on
making revolutionary films, skits, music videos,
or any other type of performance that involves
acting.
