Another loss, no lack of 'try'

April 22, 2013

Well, senior day may not have gone as all seniors dream, but the rain held off long enough to get both games of the doubleheader in. Seniors Aaramie Hoisington and Lindsay Taggart were honored before the first game on Saturday for their dedication and commitment to the softball program as well as a plethora of other achievements throughout their high school careers.

They will be missed.

Kellogg came out strong in the first game, shutting out Bonner's Ferry 0-10.

The second game started after a 10 minute rain delay and continual showers during the entire game.

It looked like Bonners might make 0 their number of the day until the girls finally went to work batting around in the third inning to bring their score to 8.

Unfortunately, Kellogg's bats were hotter as they finished the game with 22 runs.

The next game will be Tuesday at Kellogg and then Saturday at Priest River.

Come support all Badger Sports on Thursday night at the Kootenai River Inn as the girls work the "Tip-A-Badger" event, an evening where Badger athletes will work in the restaurant and turn over all tips to the Badger Booster Club.

The Badger softball team might not have any marks in the win column as yet, but their sports ethic and level of "try" is amazing. Show them you agree Thursday evening!
