Update: Badgers performing well at District Tournament,
first day results available
May 8, 2015
In yesterday's High School Track District I Tournament, the Bonners Ferry Badgers had a good showing on the first day of competition.

The BFHS Girls' Sprint Medley team of Kendra Urbaniak, Natasha Webster, Mackenzie Mendenhall, and Jordan Young took first place with a time of 1:59. That race was tight right to the very end when, with five meters to go, Jordan Young finally took just enough of a lead to put the Badger girls in first place and send them to the State Tournament.

In other events, the Badges took two of the top three finishes in the pole vault, as Kendra Urbaniak took second and Victoria Smith finished third.

Tucker Cavender finished third in the 3200 meter run, with a time of 10:58.

Coach Tyler Warner is reporting that many members of the Badger Track team put up their personal best numbers in the 3200m, the 100m, the 200m, and the pole vault, along with additional personal best numbers in girls' discus and boys' shot put.

Track District Tournament action continues today, and we will continue to communicate results as we receive them.
