August 24, 2016
By Mike Demick, Conservation Information Supervisor

Approximately 156 deer and 161 elk controlled hunt tags not issued during the recent second drawing for deer, elk, pronghorn and black bear will go on sale first come, first served August 25 at 11 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time.

Leftover tags are available for purchase at all Fish and Game license vendors, online at https://idfg.idaho.gov, or by calling 1-800-554-8685.

There are no leftover tags available for black bear or pronghorn. A list of available tags by hunt number is posted on Fish and Game’s website under the “Licenses” tab https://idfg.idaho.gov/tag/controlled-hunt/unclaimed.

Many hunters are choosing to increase their opportunity and enjoy some extra time in the field by purchasing second tags for deer and elk. For more information, including frequently asked question, go to https://idfg.idaho.gov/buy/second-tag.
